Al's Pals Mentoring Program

Mission: Students serve as mentors to elementary students at Mackenzie Court Community Center and Oakdale Elementary School.

Al’s Pals is a mentoring program for at-risk youth and an exciting focus for the Community Service Center. During Fall 2012, over 300 students, serving as one-on-one mentors, and student leaders provided an after-school program at the McKenzie Court Community Center and Oakdale Primary School. Mentors help their mentees with homework, reinforce reading and math skills, and join them in great enrichment and recreational activities. Mentors are asked to volunteer one day a week (Wednesday or Thursday) from 2:45 until 5:00 pm.

Applications are being accepted for mentors for Fall 2013.
