Tornado Relief Project for Student Organizations

Is your student organization interested in helping Tuscaloosa recover from the April 27th tornado? Mayor Maddox and the City of Tuscaloosa have asked for help from the UA community with debris removal and clean up efforts in Alberta City. This is work that could be done in a group. The Tuscaloosa Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) will provide equipment such as gloves, wheelbarrows, and shovels. Volunteers would be required to wear closed toe shoes and long pants. The work can be done Mondays-Saturdays.

If your student organization is interested, please contact Jon Lambert at the VRC at jmlambert.al@gmail.com. Please let him know the size of your group and if you have some dates and times in mind. He will work with you to set up a time for your organization to help out.
