Programs at the

Center for Service

and Leadership

The Center for Service and Leadership is responsible for some major service projects on campus which include Beat Auburn Beat Hunger, Sleep Out on the Quad, Hands On Tuscaloosa and Ripple Effect. In addition to these major events, we also host several domestic and international service trips during fall, winter, and spring breaks with the Beyond Bama Action Team. The CSL also offers weekly service opportunities for students at a variety of locations in the Tuscaloosa community.

During the spring semester, we partner with other divisions of Student Affairs to host the Service and Leadership (SAL) Awards which honors the top community service contributors and partners along with outstanding student organizations.

The Center for Service and Leadership is also committed to helping students become the best leaders they can be. Alabama Leads is an annual leadership conference sponsored by the CSL that provides leadership development and training through keynote speakers and breakout sessions.
