Each year, the Center for Service and Leadership gives special recognition and awards to those students, groups, and organizations that have shown devotion and dedication to providing service throughout the community. Awards nominators and nominees are invited to attend.

Nominations and applications for 2015 - 2016 will be available in the Spring 2016 semester.

Star Bloom Volunteer of the Year - This accolade goes to the student that best demonstrates the mission to educate students for civic engagement and leadership as well as giving students diverse service engagement opportunities. This student is committed to engagement programs that promote education and awareness of community needs and resources leads to opportunities for social problem solving. They go above and beyond in helping to forward the mission and value of community service at the University of Alabama. They are doing their part in creating a better tomorrow.

Outstanding Community Partner- This accolade goes to the community partners that collaborate with the CSL that best demonstrates the mission to educate students for civic engagement and leadership as well as giving students diverse service engagement opportunities. These partners are committed to providing engagement programs that promote education and awareness of community needs and resources leads to opportunities for social problem solving.
