House United Habitat for Humanity Build
Important Update July 7: Space for participants in House United is at capacity. Anyone who registers on or after July 7 will be placed on an alternate list. We will also be able to send you information about other possible Habitat build opportunities.
The University of Alabama and Auburn University have started a new program to work together to help the people of the state of Alabama. Rather than merely being rivals on the football field, students from the two institutions will collaborate to build homes for residents of communities in Alabama.
The first House United Habitat Build was scheduled to take place in Baldwin County, Alabama in June. After the devastating tornadoes in Tuscaloosa in April, the decision was made by both schools to move the build to Tuscaloosa. During the week of July 18-22, students from both institutions will come together in Tuscaloosa to build an entire house for a family who lost their home during the April 27 tornado.
