Length of Service: 27 month commitment

To help the people of interested countries and areas in meeting their needs for trained men and women, promote better understanding of Americans on the part of the people served and other people on the part of Americans. Volunteers are needed in various areas depending on the country’s need. Volunteer assignment areas included environment, agriculture, community development, health, business, and education. Volunteers must have a college degree and/or substantial life experience and must be motivated, organized, and committed. A volunteer with Foreign Language skills is a plus. Volunteers receive 24 vacation days per year, monthly living allowance that enables them to live in a manner similar to others in their community, medical and dental care, as is transportation to and from the country of service, and $6,075.00 to help them re-adjust and begin life after their overseas assignment.
