Provide Support and care for persons in the last phases of an incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of life. Affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice is a coordinated program of palliative and supportive services provided in both home and inpatient settings, which provide for physical, psychological, social, and spiritual care for dying persons and their families. Volunteers needed for clerical tasks in the office and patient care. Volunteers are also needed for Cabaret Night in the fall. Volunteers must possess good oral and written communication skills, and be good with people, caring and compassionate.
