Aids local animals by investigation of cruelty cases, lost-pet listing, information and referral, matching of unwanted animals with people desiring pets, and medical care for homeless animals. Volunteers are needed to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of animals, walk dogs, minor cage cleaning, laundering the bedding (done on premises), and general cleaning of the adoption room. Volunteers would also answer phones and talk with potential adopters. Volunteers must be willing to occasionally become some-what dirty, should not be physically limited, should not be allergic to animals, be neat and organized, and not be bothered by barking dogs.
