West Alabama Food Bank

 

The West Alabama Food bank has a simple mission: To help alleviate hunger and food insecurity in nine West Alabama counties, including Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Sumter and Tuscaloosa. The West Alabama Food Bank has been doing exactly that since being incorporated as a 50(c)(3) non-profit agency in 1987.

The West Alabama Food Bank operates out of a 10,000 square foot warehouse in Tuscaloosa with on-site cold storage. Through many agencies within the various West Alabama communities, the Food Bank has distributed over 7,000,000 pounds of food over the years.
